Students will be either paid National Minimum Apprenticeship wage or more, depending on the employer.
A Vehicle Damage Panel Technician works within the accident repair workshop, demonstrating expert working knowledge in relation to the removal, repair and replacement of vehicle body panels to vehicle manufacturer specification. These vehicles can include light commercial vehicles and cars. The technician may work in a team and also individually to identify body panel types and use the right tools to repair the vehicle to the highest standard.
This apprenticeship lasts 3 years and students will work at an employer for 4 days a week and be in College one day a week.
Apprenticeships are for anyone aged over 16 and are aimed at those with previous Level 1 or 2 qualifications within the industry and those currently in employment.
