What are T Levels?
T Levels are two-year technical qualifications developed with employers to ensure students gain the skills and knowledge needed for their chosen industry. They are equivalent to three A Levels and combine classroom learning with practical experience, preparing students for skilled employment, apprenticeships, or further study.

Who is this course for?
This T Level is designed for learners aged 16-19 who wish to work in the digital services industry, specifically in Management & Administration.

Course Structure:

  • 80% Classroom Learning – Students study 14 core topic areas relevant to the Management & Administration industry.

  • 20% Industry Placement – A minimum of 45 days (315 hours) on placement with an employer to gain on-the-job technical skills.

 

Joining this T Level Management and Administration Level 3 study programme is subject to:

  • Grade 5 GCSE in English and Maths
  • 4 other GCSEs at Grade 4 or above

Industry placement with an employer

As part of the T Level qualification, learners will have a unique opportunity to develop new talent and learn new skills. The placement will last a minimum of 45 working days.

Learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of, and skills in:

  • Supporting the overall running and operation of an organisation
  • Using prioritisation skills to support time management and delivery of workloads
  • Considering improvements and recommending ways to develop and improve business practices
  • Developing effective communication with a range of stakeholders to support business practices
  • Managing the flow of information through the organisation

There are various trips and activities throughout the programme, including:

· Visits to public and private sector organisations

· Guest speakers from industry

· Enterprise projects

· College-wide business challenges

· Career planning sessions

· JCB Factory Tour

· Business Live at Disneyland Paris

· Cadbury World

 

When you’re not studying, there’s a wide range of enrichment activities to get involved in – perfect for making new friends, building confidence, and gaining experiences that will boost your CV or university application.

Through the Student Union and college committees, you can take part in everything from sports teams, enterprise and volunteering projects to fundraising campaigns and even the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

There’s something for everyone – from joining a debating society, to attending inclusive cultural events and festivals, or enjoying one of our regular film nights and theatre trips.

  • External Exams – all learners take the same assessment at the same time, normally with a written outcome
  • Employer Set Project – an industrial style brief that allows learners to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of year 1 content
  • Industry Placement – 315 hours minimum

The qualification carries UCAS points and is recognised by higher education providers as contributing to meeting admission requirements to many relevant courses, for example:

  • BSc (Hons) in Business and Management
  • BA (Hons) in Business and Finance
  • BA (Hons) in Business with Human Resource Management
  • BA (Hons) and BSc (Hons) in Business Studies
  • BSc (Hons) in International Management
