Who is this course for?

The course will last for one year and is aimed at people who would like to study teaching in primary or secondary at university but do not currently have the right A Levels or enough UCAS points to gain admission. Students will be expected to attend college three days a week and will be assessed by a wide variety of methods including written assignments and presentations.

You should be aged 18 or over, with GCSE or Level 2 Maths, English and Science at grade C or above. You will have a face to face interview and a written task to complete. Advanced learner loans are available for this course.

The course involves the completion of a number of modules covering teaching theory and practice.  Assessment is by a mix of methods such as presentations, assignments and work experience.

The course runs three days per week: 9.30am – 3.30pm.

You can progress to teaching degrees in either Primary or Secondary Education at University.
