Sandwell College’s talented BTEC Art students will be showcasing their creative works at the Festival of Arts.

The Student Art Exhibition ‘Live in Colour’ will be on display from Monday 12 June to Friday 23 June 2023.

Creative Industries students have chosen contexts they are passionate about and reflected on the adaptations they have had to make in a rapidly changing world. To develop real life experiences as artists, students have curated their pieces independently, incorporating a range of 2D and 3D medias including ceramics, painting, drawing, textiles, photography and digital animation.

Curriculum Leader for Visual Arts, Rupinder Sandhu, said: “Students have deepened their understanding of visual art throughout the year while developing skills, techniques, and processes to create meaningful art works on display. With each individual curation, the viewer is visually immersed in elaborate concepts and ideas, with themes ranging from self-identity, architecture and mental health.”
