This course is ideal for Adult Learners who wish to those new to machine sewing or wanting to refresh their skills.   Duration of the course: 10 weeks   Cost of the course: £250

Course requirements

None. An interest in learning how to use and apply sewing techniques is necessary.

By the end of the course you will know how to;

  • Set up and thread a machine to achieve a variety of seams and finishes on a range of fabrics
  • Select the correct needle for the fabric and stitch pattern
  • Use a variety of combinations of stitch length and width to produce desired results.
  • Use a variety of different stitch patterns

Through successful completion of practical tasks, under the observation of the tutor.

After successful completion of this course, you could apply to undertake a full time Level 2 or Level 3 Fashion qualification.
