If you already manage projects within your job role or are likely to manage projects in the future or aspire to have a career in project management,  then a CMI Level 5 Certificate in Project Management  course may be ideal for you.   The course will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to manage projects successfully and overcome problems and challenges during the project management process.  During the course you will plan and manage a genuine workplace project.  

How much does the course cost?

The total fee for this course (including registration and certification) is £600. HOWEVER, if you live within ‘West Midlands Combined Authority’ region, you may be eligible to a FREE place on this course subject to certain terms and conditions.

Course requirements

You must have gained a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above including English or equivalent qualifications.   Ideally, you will also have a CMI Level 3 Diploma or similar qualifications at level 3.  HOWEVER,  if you are a mature applicant (over 21 years) your work experience (paid and/or unpaid) may be taken into account in lieu of formal qualifications.

 

You will study two units:-

 

  • Managing Projects to Achieve Results
  • Conducting a Management Project

 

Whilst on the course, you will be given FREE professional membership of the CMI, which includes access to a range of CMI products and services to support you throughout the qualification and later as you progress in their career.

When does the course start and end?

 

Start Date:  9th January 2023

End Date: 6th March 2023

 

Each unit is assessed by one written assignment of approximately 2,500-4,000 words.  The second assignment will involve proposing, conducting and reporting on a workplace management project.

On successful completion of this course,  you can progress to the  CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership.  Upon achievement of the Level 5 Diploma you may be eligible to apply for full membership (MCMI) or even Chartered Membership of the CMI (CMgr MCMI).

Other progression opportunities include moving on to CMI qualifications at the next level, for example the CMI Level 6 Certificate in Professional Management and Leadership Practice or CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership.
