You’ll need to attend an interview with the course tutors and be assessed on your level of Maths and English. A good level of written and spoken English is a must, and learners should also demonstrate the ability, interest and desire to work in the Aviation industry.
This course offers an introduction into how an airport operates and the roles/duties of particular jobs including Passenger Service Agent, Airport Check-in and Security Officer. You will be studying health and safety in aviation, aviation security, and aviation communication. You will also learn about the different areas of the airport and the facilities found in each area.
You will explore different areas of the air industry including types of aircraft used, destinations available, levels of service, and staff recruitment. You will also study the role of the Civil Aviation Authority in the overall management of the airline industry including safety, security and other emergencies that staff face and how they are managed.
There is a mixture of theory and practical learning in our state-of-the-art aircraft and first class teaching facilities. The course is delivered by our team of highly experienced teachers, each with industry specialisms.
You will create a portfolio of evidence which will include observations, worksheets, assignments and written questions.
You can progress to employment in the aviation industry. This qualification can lead to jobs including Cabin Crew, Passenger Service Agent, Check-In Assistant and Baggage Handler.
