Course summary

The Level 3 Diploma in Accident Repair MET Principles is for anyone wanting a career in the Automotive Accident Repair industry. This practical and theory-based qualification demonstrates candidates’ skills on the job and knowledge demonstrating that they meet national standards for automotive workers.

Course requirements

You’ll have previously completed a Level 2 Motor Vehicle qualification. You’ll be able to demonstrate a professional attitude and have excellent communication skills.

This is a full-time course of about 16 hours per week. You'll have the best opportunity to experience a wide variety of activities, including removing and refitting trim, suspension, electrical components and mechanical components to motor vehicles. At the end of the programme you will achieve a qualification in MET at Level 3. During the course you'll also be expected to complete one week's work experience at a workshop of your choice.

Assessment is practical, written and online.

After completing this qualification, you'll have a qualification that shows employers and customers you have the required skills to carry out refitting of body, mechanical and electrical components as a result of accidents and you'll be able to progress into employment.
