Sports student Liam Read is hoping to hear he has made it to a national final after finishing third in the AoC Fitness Trainer Competition.
Liam and Connor Ashfield were both selected to compete in the regional heat of the Level 2 Gym Instructor category in Loughborough, following a highly rigorous process.
This year’s final will be part of the World Skills UK Competition Finals, held at the NEC in Birmingham.
The competition tests aspiring fitness professionals’ knowledge and skills.
