Sandwell College celebrated its strong links with employers from across the region with a special award ceremony at the Central Sixth campus. Companies making the biggest contributions and working in successful partnership with the college’s apprenticeship recruitment and training team were rewarded for their efforts.
Major employers AA, Bhandals Dental Practices and MacNeillies were presented with awards for their Continuing Apprentice Investment.

Headstart – Hairdressing Apprenticeship Employer of the Year
Hustans Pharmacy – Pharmacy Apprenticeship Employer of the Year
Selly Park Dental Centre – Dental Apprenticeship Employer of the Year
A1 Clutches – Automotive Light Vehicle Apprenticeship Employer of the Year
Dent Wizard – Automotive Body Repair Apprenticeship Employer of the Year
Ulysses – Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Employer of the Year
Euro Precision – Engineering Apprenticeship Employer of the Year
Sandwell Academy – Schools Partnership Award
Interserve – Work Experience Partnership Award
Coventry Road Dental Practice – Satellite Community Partnership Award
Job Centre Plus – Achieving Employment in Partnership Award
Sandwell College Principal Graham Pennington said: “This is a chance for us to give something back. Without our employers our apprentices would not have the jobs or work experience they need.”
Vice-principal David Holden added: “Our main mission is to improve the life chances of students. We can’t do that alone, so schools and employers are key partnerships for us.”
