About Public Services

The experience you gain studying Public Services with us will equip you to progress to an emergency services, military forces or legal career, working at the top of your field, both in the UK and overseas. You could graduate in Policing or Criminology like some of our former students. If your big ambition is to pursue your career in one of the Uniformed Public Services – such as the Police Service, Fire Service, Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army, Royal Air Force, Prison and Probation Service, or Border Force, we can help you get there.   • Visit Shrewsbury Prison: take the journey of a prisoner and see the cells and hanging room
  • Meet guest speakers from the Police, Army and the Fire Service and take part in work experience placements
  • Join Junior Streetwatch Patrol with West Midlands Police – the first of its kind in the UK
