Applicants should have at least one of the following:
• an entry certificate in skills for working or life skills, or other entry level qualifications
• an appropriate standard of literacy and numeracy
• related interests and experiences.
The programme includes a range of units covering different aspects of working within the business administration sector. Students are also required to improve their English and Maths skills, by studying functional skills related to Business. In addition, students are required to take the Personal and Social Development (PSD) course to help them develop their social, health and employability skills.
There are various trips and activities throughout the programme e.g. paintballing and Alton Towers.
Units are assessed through project and assignment work and are based on practical situations or around scenarios. There are no external examinations.
You can progress to the Level 2 Diploma in Business, or take a qualification at Level 2 in an alternative sector, or apply for a business administration apprenticeship, or prepare to progress into employment with a Level 1 foundation programme.
