Just studying A Levels is not the only way into university and the career of your choice. Sandwell College offers you the option of studying an A Level alongside a more practical and career-focused Level 3 Diploma (the same level of qualification as A Levels). This is the right option for you if you want to go to university, you know what sort of career you will be interested in, and you don’t want the demands of studying three A Levels. It’s important that the A Level you choose supports or complements the Engineering Diploma, so we offer a structured ‘pathway’ that makes sure the two elements match each other but still gives you a broad choice of subjects.
You would need to gain five GCSEs at grade C or above (grade 5 or above), including Maths at Grade B (grade 6).
