Who is this course for?

The Level 2 Apprenticeship programme is ideal if you are a school leaver who intends to pursue a career in administration.
The Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship programme is ideal if you are already working as an office manager, administrative supervisor or in human resources, for example, and looking to enhance your career prospects.

Formal Entry Requirements

You will need to have at least grades A - C in English and Maths. Entry is subject to a satisfactory interview and college assessment. For the Advanced Apprenticeship you should have experience of working in the business administration industry and hold a Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration.

What does the course involve?

You will attend our state-of-the-art training centre on a weekly basis. Training includes a variety of administrative and IT functions. The rest of your working week is spent ‘on the job’ training in your place of work, where you will learn practical and interpersonal skills from business professionals. Level 2 Business Administration framework consists of Level 2 NVQ Certification in Business Administration, Level 2 Certificate in Business Administration (Technical Certificate), Key/Functional Skills and Communications. You will also be given an introduction to ERR (Employment Rights and Responsibilities), which covers the responsibilities of employees at work. Level 3 Advanced Business Administration framework consists of Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration, Level 3 Certificate in Business Administration (Technical Certificate), Key/Functional Skills and Communications at the appropriate level, and ERR.

How will I be assessed?

Assessments will be through a combination of methods at your place of work. Online assessments will be used for both the Technical Certificate and Key/Functional Skills.

Where can I go next?

As well as direct employment, successful apprentices can often go on to complete an Advanced Apprenticeship, a suitable management programme, or study for a Foundation Degree.
