Olympic Torch Relay passes Central Campus

Thousands of Sandwell people cheered on the Olympic Torch as it passed Central Campus on Saturday.
Crowds lined the streets as the London 2012 Torchbearers carried the flame through the centre of West Bromwich, en route to Birmingham for a big evening celebration.
Olympic hopeful, 22-year-old international high jumper Adele Lassu, who has won the Under 20 and Under 23 England Championship four years in a row, passed the Flame to former president of Haden Hill Swimming Club, 81-year-old Jessica Gripton, right in front of the college!
