Who is this course for?

This one-year course is for anyone wishing to pursue a career in the airline industry, in particular in the role of Cabin Crew. Learners from different backgrounds and of all ages regularly study for this qualification.

Formal Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements are needed. However, all candidates are interviewed and need to be assessed on their level of English and Maths. Good communication skills are a must.

What does the course involve?

This course offers an introduction to working as an airline cabin crew member. The course covers emergency procedures; customer service; passenger announcements; and recruitment.
During this course, which runs for one evening per week, you will learn how to become a valued cabin crew team member, with responsibility for passenger safety and comfort. You will explore different areas of the air industry including types of aircraft used, destinations available, customer value for money and levels of service. You will also study the role of the Civil Aviation Authority in the overall management of the airline industry; possible health emergencies and equipment on board to help deal with them; procedures for checking aircraft cabins before boarding and clearing; security procedures at the airport; team-building methods and how to deal with difficult situations that may arise within the team; personal appearance and the importance of positive verbal and body language.

How will I be assessed?

All assessment is through coursework, role plays, presentation and practical skills.
