Study Support
Study Link is a team that offers support to students with their coursework and literacy and numeracy skills. We offer specialist tutor support, a drop-in service and in-class support. In this way, all our students have the opportunity to achieve regardless of ability or circumstances.

Help with your studies, especially your written work and assignments, can include one-to-one sessions, small group work, dyslexia support and access to specialist software. For all enquiries contact dee.brookes@sandwell.ac.uk

Language Support
Language Support is for anybody who needs to improve any area of language in order to get better results in their vocational or academic courses. It helps you develop your language skills in listening and speaking, reading and writing, grammar and vocabulary, discussion and presentation skills – whatever you need for better written and spoken communication on your vocational or academic course. For more information call Marilyn Moylan,

Advice & Guidance
Our award-winning Student Services Team will be available throughout your stay at the College to offer practical, impartial information on education, training and career opportunities. As soon as you arrive at College you will be able to get the help you need to succeed. The team is available to advise you on:

• Personal problems
• Loans and grants
• State benefits
• Homelessness
• Childcare
• Student rights
• Visa and immigration information for international students
• Staying safe. 

WE WERE THE FIRST ORGANISATION IN THE BLACK COUNTRY TO RECEIVE THE GUIDANCE COUNCIL QUALITY STANDARDS AWARD FOR ITS EXCELLENT SERVICE TO STUDENTS.

Careers Service
Our professional Careers Advisers offer the following services:
• Applying for university
• Choosing a career
• Writing CVs and preparing interviews.

Connexions Advisers and Adult Careers Advisers from Next Steps are also based in the College.

Multi-Faith Chaplaincy
Our Multi-Faith Chaplaincy team is made up of people who are committed to their own faiths but also recognise and support all other faith groups and non faith groups. Quiet and Contemplation rooms are provided for reflection or prayer.

Safeguarding 
We take the welfare of all students and staff extremely seriously. There's a team of qualified Safeguarding and Welfare officers that works to ensure that students feel safe and supported. If you have any concerns, please ask at Reception for support. You can also contact the safeguarding team at safeguarding@sandwell.ac.uk or call 0121 556 6000 and ask for a Safeguarding Officer.
