These are exciting and enterprising times for the college, its students and the business community!
Sandwell College has moved to its striking Central Campus in West Bromwich, accommodating up to 10,000 full and part-time students.
Our rebuilding project is right at the heart of the vibrant community we serve and the wider regeneration of West Bromwich. Not only is the rebuild vital to the future education and training of people in the Black Country, it will enable the college to expand and will make an important contribution to the economic recovery of the region. Hailed by business leaders as "the most ambitious education development for 30 years", the £77 million campus will transform the way students and apprentices learn and work.
As a patron of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, we work closely with regional businesses and organisations, and the private and public sector, to provide courses and apprenticeships highly relevant to today's industries and services. Sandwell College staff and students have already helped cement its place in the business community with a long history of successful apprenticeships.
Strong partnerships have been struck with local companies and the college closely engages with the needs of businesses in the Black Country to provide a top class workforce. Apprentices can take advantage of real jobs with real prospects - thanks to links the college has forged with top firms in the area, including the AA and Bhandals Dental Practices.
Automotive engineering, business administration, customer service, dental nursing, engineering, health and social care, pharmacy, sustainable resource management and team leading are all sectors that Sandwell College specialises in to make the managers of the future.
