Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at adults or young people with learning difficulties, emotional difficulties or challenging behaviour. The programme offers additional support and encouragement to develop your confidence, self-esteem, personal and social skills within a practical environment.
Formal Entry Requirements
You will need to complete an initial assessment and then be assessed at your appropriate learning level before you can be offered a place on the programme.
What does the course involve?
You will be given practical opportunities to develop skills to help you to make choices and give you a greater range of options. You will follow a broad curriculum with individual learning targets set to help you gain new skills.
Enrichment activities
You will have opportunities to get involved in sports, educational trips and visits, hear from guest speakers and take part in organised activities delivered by nationally recognised bodies. You will also have the chance to participate in charity fundraising and community volunteer work, to support your personal and social development.
How will I be assessed?
You will complete assessments individually as you progress through the course, and we will give you the skills to prepare for each assessment.
Where can I go next?
Completion of this course will help you move towards other foundation programmes or give you the opportunity to study at a higher level at college. If you are looking for new challenges we can offer help with the transition.
