Schools Liaison

Sandwell College has a team of staff who visit local secondary schools on a regular basis to offer advice, literature and information. They will help guide you in the right direction at this crucial time in your life.

They can help to arrange visits to the college and also assist in organising taster days so that you can get a feel for college life.

If you are in year ten or eleven and would like to arrange to spend some time at Sandwell College then speak to your Teacher or Connextions Personal Advisor and they will help you arrange it.

John Breeze (Pictured above) is the Schools Development Co-ordinator at Sandwell College. He is based in the Marketing Department at the Oldbury Campus on Pound Road. His role involves liaison with Schools in and around Sandwell with the aim of providing quality information and opportunities for students; promoting the college; helping students make considered choices about their futures.

John, aged 32, has been with Sandwell College since January 2007. He said “ I really enjoyed the opportunities I get to work in the Schools, meeting vibrant and enthusiastic students makes coming to work enjoyable and each day is different”.

“The thing that makes me smile the most is when I see students in the college that recognise me from when I visited their Schools, it makes you feel like you are having a positive impact on life at Sandwell”, added John.
