If you're aged 16-18 and you want an alternative to school, this is the place for you. While our Central Sixth offers A Levels at our dedicated sixth-form centre in West Bromwich (click here for details)
, Central Campus is dedicated to practical, vocational courses that teach you the skills you need for the career that you want to succeed in.
We're very proud of the results achieved by our students, with many of our courses having 100% pass rates. What’s more, our full Level 3 courses are equivalent to three ‘A’ Levels, so they can really help you towards work or university.
So, why is Central Campus not like school? For a start, the way we work is different. There’s a lot of practical work and courses are taught by experts who know the business that they teach. There’s plenty of support from lecturers to help you succeed on your course, but it’s up to you to organise your time to get the work done.
It’s not all study either. Our Enrichment Team runs a regular, packed programme of student events. Three weeks each year are set aside for these activities. We also have an active Students Union that arranges its own sports teams, social events and trips.
Demand for places in the college is high. Get your application in early, don’t miss your interview, and get your offer of a place.
Please note: it is now compulsory for all 16-18 year-old students who do not have GCSE English or GCSE Maths at grades A-C to study for English and/or Maths qualifications. This applies whether students come to college or stay at school; Sandwell College has a long tradition of successfully helping students to gain qualifications in these vital subjects, where others have failed.
